Xbox 360 Wishlist for 2008

The Xbox 360 and Xbox Live are great services … but there are some things I’d like to see in ’08 …

1. More Xbox classic games. The 360 already has the best backwards computability when compared to the Wii or the PS3, so I really can’t complain, but I would love to play Top Spin which came with the first Xbox as a bundled game. More is more though.

2. Samba or just general Windows shares. I don’t really want to have to run MCE or the other alternatives when I already have Windows shares all over. NFS would be great too, but I can dream I guess.

3. Shared Itunes/DAAP library support. Lets face it, not everyone uses Microsoft products and shouldn’t have to.

4. Youtube or other video site support. What would be nice is Stage 6 support for high quality streaming. Hell, even MSN Video would be nice.

5. Web browser. Why doesn’t it have one already? Even the Nintendo Wii uses Opera! Microsoft already has a web browser product, it doesn’t take much imagination to include it in the 360.

6. Peripherals like this.

7. Support for more media formats. The addition of support XviD and DivX are great, but again, less is not more, more is more.

… and Merry Christmas to all!
