World of Warcraft Background Downloader Fix

Some people have been having issues with the background downloader that came with the recent 1.10 patch. If you are among those with these problems, blizzard has provided some registry fixes. Just run the files after downloading them. If you are familiar with the Windows registry, open the file up in a text editor to see what they do.

We are currently aware of an issue where the Background Downloader won’t save a user’s preference settings. We have some registry keys available as a temporary workaround. To apply these fixes, just download and apply these registry keys. They will take effect the next time the Background Downloader starts up.

Disabling the Background Downloader: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/disableBGD.reg
Enabling the Background Downloader: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/enableBGD.reg
Disabling Peer to Peer alone: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/disableP2P.reg
Enabling Peer to Peer alone: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/other/enableP2P.reg

This is a Windows-only workaround. PCs and Macs will get a permanent fix in a future patch.
