War. War Never Changes.

And so my quest through the wasteland ends … eighty hours of it. I’ve waited ten years for Fallout 3 and while many will knock it, I have come out quite satisfied. If there was only one thing I could change, I’d want tougher enemies. I finished the game with thousands of rounds for my most powerful weapons … with nothing to use it on. While I finished all achievements except the karma based achievements in one play through, this is a game that I will gladly play over again especially with the upcoming DLC in January.

Time to move on to the other great games released this holiday season … but … War. War never changes.

Nice blog post title. Of all of the fallout games that came out, i just cant get away of that phrase. Especially on every Fallout game intro.

I think you went directly to the main missions. I still play the game with the side missions and I still haven't finished the game for 2 weeks. It must have something to do with the mob leveling system just like oblivion has, like the lower your level is, the easy they are to kill. The opposite goes if your level is higher.

And yeah, harder enemies. When Ive heard things about mutants, i thought they were difficult enemies. But they weren't. Goodluck on the upcoming DLC :)
  • Considering that I have all achievements except for the karma based ones (check http://profile.mygamercard.net/Redeuxx ... all bobbleheads, all weapons, at least 100 discovered locations, all main side quests), no I didn't go straight to the main quest. I also have a few unique weapons such as the special power armor at Fort Constantine and the unique Fat Man at the National Guard Depot. You can finish the game through the main story line in around 10 hours. It took me around 80, probably more after all the reloads. I know some people spending 100+ hours in a single playthrough, but I guess I play fast because there was nothing else to do except go back to the main storyline.
