Do you want to continue playing?
For anyone who has played the Civilization series, the ability to continue playing after goals and scores have been tallied … was to … wait for it … continue playing the game. I remember creating huge worlds with the maximum number of computer players and spending literally months on that map. The new Civilization Revolution for consoles however takes this feature feature away from an otherwise satisfying experience. The end result is not a leisurely gaming experience that can last for days, weeks, or months, but a quick sit down and aim for a technology victory. The quick pace and the inability to continue playing past goals leaves you no other choice but a technology victory … unless you get lucky with your civilization starting point. It’s a decent Civilization crossover to the consoles … while it lasts … and all too often, it doesn’t last as long as it should. Why did they even put save games in?
